Crowned Best Breakthrough Artist at this year's Radio 1 Dance Awards, Hannah Laing has earned a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting new names in electronic music. From headlining festivals; to DJing with Idris Elba to scoring a top ten hit with her anthem Good Love, Hannah’s career - which started out in local pubs - has taken her across the globe. Raised by parents who loved to rave, Hannah grew up immersed in dance music. After seeing Dave Pearce DJ in Dundee and later meeting local promoters in the scene, Hannah landed her first gig in the small fishing town of Arbroath aged 18. From there it became her mission to DJ full-time. Despite spending summers playing in Ibiza and securing bigger slots back home, Hannah worked as a dental nurse, juggling her day job with DJing at night. Now, ten years after her first gig, Hannah prepares to make history in her hometown by becoming the first electronic DJ to headline Dundee’s iconic Caird Hall. Reflecting on how far she has come, Hannah shares the highs, lows, hard graft and determination behind her success.Start: 2026-08-07-004500
